Lycian Way is known as one of the world’s best long distance hiking routes nowadays. Located between Fethiye and Antalya, the Lycian Way consists of 540 km way-marked foothpath in the Tekke peninsula. The Lycians, established a union of independent democratic city-states known as the Lycian League. They had very high standards in arts, architecture and dominated the sea trade. While hiking through the roman roads, foothpaths and mule-roads near the sea one can come across the ancient cities of Lycian League, Byzantine monasteries and many Lycian graves and ruins. On the hike Lycian Way East, we will discover the trails between Kaş and Antalya by easy hikes. We will spend one overnight in Adrasan for two overnights in Kaş.

Tour Program

Day 1

Olympos Hike

After leaving Antalya city center we will drive one hour to Ulupınar, where we will eat trout for lunch near to the affluent cool waters. There will be time to rest at this place and then we will start our hiking towards Yanartaş. While climbing, we will be picturing in our minds the mythological hero Bellarophontes defeating firebreathing monster Chimera and sending him to seven layers underground. After spending some time near to the flames that persisted there for hundreds of years, we will climb down to Olympos.

Day 2

Gelidonya Lighthouse Hike

After a short bus ride to Karaöz, we will start hiking to Gelidonya Lighthouse. The most outstanding part of the day is the hiking accompanied with the striking views of the Toros Mountains’ woodland and the Mediterranean Sea. Gelidonya Lighthouse hike is one of the best highlights of the entire Lycian Way. We will go back to Karaöz after eating our lunchbox and continue to Kaş by bus.

Day 03

Aperlai Hike and Kekova Boat Trip

In the morning, we will take the road from Kılınçlı Village with the maquis shrubland and sea views, and we will head to the antique city of Aperlai. From there we will walk till Üçağız where our boat will be waiting for us. We will finish today’s hiking earlier, because we will spend the rest of the day on the boat touring in the bays of Kekova and bathing in the sea.

Day 04

Sarıbelen - Gökçeören Hike

The starting point of today’s hike is Sarıbelen Village. Among the places we will visit, there are desert shepherd villages, highlands and antique settlements. We will have an aerial viewpoint to the shores at certain intervals and then we will reach to Gökçeören Village. Here we will have a tea break under the shadow of a several centuries old plane tree. After ending our hike we will go back to Antalya by bus.
